Learn. Connect. Take Part. AJŠ SR creates opportunities for young people to learn through experience, meet people from different backgrounds, develop confidence and take an active role in their communities. Through local programmes and international activities, young people explore communication, creativity, inclusion, leadership, well-being, nature and intercultural learning.
What can you experience?
More than a course Our youth activities go beyond traditional classroom learning. Young people learn by doing, creating, discussing, experimenting, travelling, working in teams and reflecting together.
| Communication & Confidence Express your ideas, improve communication, work with others and build confidence through practical and creative activities. | Camps & Experiential Learning Learn through outdoor activities, games, arts, drama, digital creation, teamwork and challenges. |
| Inclusion & Intercultural Learning Meet people from different cultures and backgrounds in activities designed to make everyone feel included and able to participate. | Youth Leadership & Peer Learning Take responsibility, support others, contribute ideas, lead activities and develop skills that can help you at school, work and in your community. |
International Opportunities Participate in European youth exchanges and other international learning experiences and bring what you learn back to your local community.

What does an activity look like?

Young people are participants — not spectators AJŠ SR uses non-formal and participant-centred learning. Activities may include teamwork, role play, outdoor challenges, discussions, storytelling, creative workshops, games, peer learning, digital tools and reflection. Young people are encouraged to contribute ideas, create outputs, support peers and take responsibility. In some programmes, older participants mentor younger participants or progress towards facilitator and educator roles. Learning is not limited to the activity itself. Participants are supported before, during and after international mobility and are encouraged to share what they have learned through local actions, presentations and community activities.
Local and international
From local participation to European experiences AJŠ SR directly implements youth activities and formally co-organises recurring programmes with its member organisations across Slovakia. These local programmes provide continuous opportunities for young people to participate, develop skills and prepare for international learning. AJŠ SR also coordinates Erasmus+ youth activities connecting young people from Slovakia with peers from other European and neighbouring countries.

European youth experiences
Arts for Wellness and Inclusion Grant Agreement No. 2023-3-SK02-KA152-YOU-000173797 Young people explored well-being, inclusion and creative expression through international exchanges and youth-led ArtSoul Gatherings.
Nature Vibes: Connect, Grow, Belong! Grant Agreement No. 2025-1-SK02-KA152-YOU-000297148 International exchanges connected nature, well-being and inclusion with eight youth-led Community Nature Hikes.

Inclusion
Everyone should be able to participate AJŠ SR has experience supporting young people facing linguistic, migration-related, economic, social, cultural, geographical, educational and disability-related barriers. Depending on individual needs, support can include accessible activity design, language assistance, individual preparation, mentoring, adapted pacing, financial support mechanisms and accompanying-person assistance. Our aim is not simply to include young people in the participant list, but to create conditions in which they can participate meaningfully.
